How America Can Save the World

In the current fervor over weapons, political agendas are obscuring the fact that we have reached the end of the line concerning our humanity and ability to survive. Gun enthusiasts as well as regulators are all participating in a theatre of fear. Many of us are worried about not being able to defend ourselves against some unknown violent future.

What we don't we seem to grasp is we have some role in creating this future. What we think and project is what will be. In this context, instead of anguish or paranoia over a dark future, consider what it would be like to live in a world without fear? To that point, we need to totally transform this double-bind debate of how to control instruments of death.

An organism at war with itself has no chance of survival. A divided humanity has no chance for peace, growth or enlightenment. We can't evolve if we are operating from the level of polarity and duality which in actual fact is a falsehood anyway.

To paraphrase Albert Einstein, you can't solve a problem from consciousness that created it so this suggests another tact when it comes to weapons of mass destruction.

Longterm, we should abolish all instruments of death and this should hold true not only for citizens, but for the military of every nation on earth.

And as far as service men and women, why not transform each military into an army of peace and actual service to mankind? Instead of destroyers, why not be creators? This would make use of the highest ideals of courage, moral fortitude and positive transformation of society.

While a longshot, perhaps as the United States advances towards it once every 250 years Pluto return in 2022, we could transform the original intention of liberty and freedom by showing love to the world, instead of paranoia and control.

If the United States were the first nation on earth to abolish all instruments of death, we could recoup our moral leadership. As a political experiment, the United States was one of the most enlightened entities to be created in the history of the world. But we have fallen short of our original intent. By becoming a beacon of love and safety, we would create a new paradigm of civilization and truly live up to the ideals of our founding fathers of truth, liberty and justice for all.

Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. As the greatest nation on earth, let us lead the world into a new vision of peace and become the conceptual forefathers of a United States of Earth.
